To provide our players suitably challenging competition we have been able to arrange opportunities for our teams to travel to Canada, Sweden, Netherlands, UK and USA. We have been invited to play against top European teams ranging from Manchester City and Ajax in prestigious tournaments including Oakham, UK and Rood Wit, Netherlands.
The Rood Wit tournament is an annual competition for 24 of the best European U10 academy teams and a small selection of grassroots teams who are invited to play in a ranking tournament. Legendary Dutch football coach, Guus Hiddink completed the 2024 draw, noting that the Rood Wit tournament is one of the best U10 tournaments in the world for youth competition.
In 2025 we will take part in the tournament for the 6th straight year with our highest ranking being 5th and 8th. With the exposure to play against teams such as Liverpool, PSV and Atletico Madrid, our players are expected to perform at a high level in an effort to win games following our guiding principles.
In 2025 we will visit the largest youth tournament in the world, the Gothia Cup for the 2nd time. With this tournament taking place at the end of the season it is the final opportunity for our players and coaches to showcase their level and skill against teams from all parts of the world. Teams from Africa, South America and Asia are drawn to Gothenburg to be crowned World Champions of the grassroots community.
Since 2019 our travel programme has grown from one trip per season to ten teams travelling to represent 345 FC in the 2024/2025 season. We hand select the tournaments and destinations that we visit to ensure the quality of the tournament and opposition being suitably challenging for our players. We have had successes winning various tournaments from the Easter International Cup 2022, Springs Holiday Cup 2023 and consistently ranking higher than other professional academies in the Rood Wit tournament.
